A bit about me:

My interest in mind-body therapies and practices began in high school, when articles in Readers’ Digest taught me relaxation techniques I still use today (counting backwards from 300 to fall asleep). In college, I discovered various inspiring texts on the subject, including Healing and the Mind and  The Future of the Body. I mostly read about the practices until 2005, when I took my first ashtanga yoga class. My experiences with learning this vigorous form of yoga expanded my understanding of the mind-body connection. In 2007, I earned my license in massage therapy and now see myself at the beginning of a new cycle of learning, which I hope never ends.
